A biomimetic rabbit that can hop up a ramp

Our team designed and constructed a biomimetic rabbit that could hop up a fifteen-degree ramp in thirty seconds. The front legs remained stiff while the back legs provided forward thrust, thus creating a motion that looked much like the hopping of a rabbit.
The bunny was powered by a single Tamiya toy motor and was built out of Duron sheet. We used a film canister filled with small iron balls to calibrate weight distribution and used large Lego tires wrapped around the back feet for friction.
